QCEW Program Policy Council
The Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Policy Council is established to reflect the joint governance mandate
of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, and to conduct work for, on behalf of, and
under the guidance of the Workforce Information Council.

To ensure that state and federal interests are appropriately represented in producing
employment and wage information.

To provide ongoing technical expertise and research for the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, or ES-202 Program and assist
in the prioritization of program enhancements.

To work cooperatively in the development of strategic plans.

To undertake such other issues as agreed to by the QCEW Policy Council.

To coordinate requests for future enhancements to the data products and other recommendations
from States and other entities.

To ensure the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Program meets the needs of covered employment and wage data users.

Provide oversight, direction and technical assistance to the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, or ES-202 Program.

Ensure that the program and data are properly marketed.

Solicit user input to the program.

Assist in the development of an ongoing system of feedback and evaluation of the program.

Stay abreast of any policy initiatives that could involve employment and wage information
and strive to ensure that such initiatives make appropriate use of the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, or ES-202 data
where appropriate.

Communicate all activities of the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Policy Council to all States and interested
parties in a timely manner.
